STEP 2: FIND A HOME YOU WANT TO SEE
Use a service like Zillow or RedFin to find homes with the features you're looking for. Contact the seller or seller's agent to schedule a showing. This is the step where your pre-approval letter comes in handy. Share it with the seller or seller's agent to show you're a serious buyer.
STEP 3: MAKE AN OFFER
Once you've found a home you love and you're ready to make an offer, create an account on Vidulist and we'll walk you through the offer process with a series of questions. Your answers will populate the appropriate contracts and prepare them to be sent to the seller. The seller doesn't need to be a Vidulist user but if they are, you can search for their address during the offer process and all of the appropriate information will be ready to go. The best experience happens when both buyer and seller are Vidulist users but it's not a requirement.
During the offer process you'll decide which lender you'd like to use. We highly recommend our preferred lender, Fairway Mortgage, so that you can have the fastest close, best rates and smoothest experience possible but you don't have to if you already have a lender.
STEP 4: GO TO YOUR DASHBOARD
Your dashboard is where it all happens. See your offers, view counter offers, learn next steps and even sell your own property.
If your seller is on Vidulist, we'll also email you anytime the seller makes a counter offer, amends the contract or wants to changes dates. You'll always know what's happening.
STEP 5: FOLLOW UP WITH THE SELLER
Though we provide many great tools for buying your next home, there's no replacement for staying in touch with the seller or seller's agent. The seller may have several offers so it's important to keep tabs on the progress of your offer and know if any adjustments need to be made. At the very least, constant contact show's your level of interest and that counts for a lot.
STEP 6: MAKE IT YOUR OWN
Now the best part. Thinking of all the ways you'll make your new home your own. Once the seller has accepted your offer you'll go under contract which means both parties are now obligated to the deal. Your lender and the seller's title company will be in continual contact by this point and will guide you through to the end. They'll answer a lot of the questions you might have, particularly if you decide to get a loan from our preferred partner, Fairway Mortgage.
